We try to be as approachable as possible at Southbourne Tennis Club. If you wish to provide feedback, suggest an idea or wish to volunteer you’re welcome to contact any of the committee. Just click the envelope icon under their details. Don’t worry if you’re not sure who to contact. If we think there is a more appropriate person to reply, we’ll forward it to them and let you know we’ve done this.
Susie is our Chairperson who brings enthusiasm and energy to the committee and club. With the help of the committee she has recruited specialists throughout the club to help promote it's values and develop a vision for the future direction of our club.
Dan helps the committee by ensuring they remain organised, work to the club rules and take minutes of all important meetings. He will also provide assistance in any other areas when required.
Colin manages all memberships. This entails managing all subscriptions and chasing up if required! He will also ensure members are happy and on the rare occasions they aren't; he will feed this back to the committee.
MATCH SECRETARY and SAFEGUARDING & WELFARE OFFICER
Celia has taken on her role with vigour and now has two roles. She is passionate about the club being a place where people feel safe and protected which she does by ensuring we have the right policies in place. But policies aren't enough. Celia will ensure these are carried out by all who use the club. Her other responsibility is managing all our teams. She will provide support to all our captains and team members as well as arrange all the matches.
David has been instrumental in developing our tennis programme. This is from our outreach work in the community and local schools to developing our disability tennis sessions. David also heads our junior coaching programme. You can find more information on our coaching page.
You can download our disability report prepared by our Head Coach, David Sanger here. This outlines all of the good work we have been able to undertake in 2020. Any questions feel free to contact David Sanger.
